Global Innovative Hospitality & Tourism students set to explore Saigon, Vietnam
The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management will be embarking on a new adventure on an international scale. Students will be exploring the largest city in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City. This activity aims to provide a venue for a wider exposure and experience in the Hospitality & Tourism Industry. Also known as the City of Saigon, popularized by the famous play starred by our very own Lea Salonga, it is famous for its war memorabilia, museums, elegant boulevards and historic French colonial buildings. Vietnam is also a haven for the culinary enthusiasts. The city boasts a multitude of restaurants serving authentic Vietnamese dishes and other fusions of Asian Cuisine. Being one of the top Tourist destinations in Asia, the City will also expose students to the various types of accommodation establishments such as hotels, lodges, B&B, etc. Our students will also attend an educational immersion and cultural program at Van Lang University in Ho Chi Minh. They shall be under the supervision of Dr. Marilyn D. Buentipo, GCIC’s Chair for the School of Professional Studies. Travel dates will be from May 16 until the 20th . Students will be receiving international certificates from this tour provided by our International Partners in Vietnam.
